IPL-It Pickled Lalit!!

IPL and Lalit Modi are synonyms. He belongs to a family of kings and his lifestyle depicts the same, his charter plane costs 3 lacs per hour!! IPL was looked as great money making business in India. All those who want to dispose off their black money jumped into the bid sequence and got a team for themselves. Bollywood stars were never so mad about game called cricket unless IPL came into picture and cricket became their favorite game. Now they know every technical whereabouts of game. Is it their game love or money investing process that is strengthening the bond between Sports and Bollywood .Not to mention about other types of love we witnessed in past. Please, no rumors!

IPL is not just a fast 20-20 game but also fast in minting money. BCCI managed to enter this pool after getting so called “inspiration” from Football Leagues we have. Oh no, and weput alligations on bollywood to copy Hollywood movies. First season held back in 2008 where players were auctioned for teams. Then in 2009 they moved their paraphernalia to SA owing to security of players. Then we had 2010 session which just revealed the scenes behind curtains. Bids for new teams tagged as Pune and Cochi for 2011 season, fell prey to controversies. Multiple resignations and enquiries were setup and whole world witnessed a dark black picture of our political setup. IPL confronted some of biggest deals made in the history of India involving deals with Sony Entertainment, DLF Group, YouTube, Kingfisher and few more. No doubts it backed India to leave a footprint and to become the world’s first host to IPL gamesfor coming 10 years. But the position of Indian team came down exponentially as an outcome. Differences between players (Harbhajan and Shreesanth) came out publically and told everyone that now they are more loyal to their franchises than anything else. Team suffered a great setback in coming series pointing back to tiredness, lack of coordination and addiction to late night parties. Many players lost their earlier forms. But then who cares, Show me the money!!

Common Wealth Games 2010-Do you mean come-man wealth games??

Common wealth games are just round the corner and list of players withdrawing is growing day by day. Players are citing reasons as security and pollution. Has been these games in any of US cities players would not have done the same.

India has always been under an impression of undeveloped, backward and poor country and it don’t have that infrastructure to host such a grand saga.

And on the other hand is our Indian government which is trying to pull out money from every possible field and rendering them short of resources for coming time. No matter that India is the fastest growing economy in the world but we still are not ready to let flow rivers of money on such games and look away from all the bigger issues in our country for which our budget is meager meal. We always lament about insufficient monetary funds for various areas. Definitely these games are looked upon as an entry ticket to global entertainment business but the long lasting repercussions of spending money are to bear by Indian citizens. Tourism is going to boom, no doubt but then we cannot rely completely on tourism to compensate for this event.

And top of all are news floating around for which we all hail India is corruption. Recent news reflect the big frauds been done in purchase of equipments and many more. DDA is hiding face when asked about the delay in construction flats for CWG officials. Whom not to blame, whole pond is muddy! On one side we are giving excuses and trying to show that we are so poor and we are trying our best to use them efficiently. Everybody knows which efficiency we are talking about. Corruption has not only dismantled India's image on world's map but can become a black dote on CWG’s history as well. We are hosting most expensive common wealth games you know and in this dismal state how can one rely on the transparency of further conduction of games and results. Top level athletes will never want themselves to be a victim to corrupted Indian machinery. Nobody wants to spill water on their past glorious records and leading them nowhere. This might be a big reason for their lacking interests. This is just a start, we still have 59 days to go for CWG’10, hope to get more stuff to babble about. It’s India!!!
